As we celebrate two years of Moxy Communications, I wanted to share the story behind why it’s so important to be brave, bold and different.

It all started when I burnt out. I had always believed I was invincible, right up until the point I collapsed on my living room floor.  

In that moment I knew things needed to change. 

Being brave 

Firstly, I needed to prioritise the person that scraped me off that floor and helped me to believe in myself again. 

Secondly, I needed to face the reality that I wasn’t a person that I liked that much anymore. And I wasn’t in an environment that was getting the best out of me. 

So I did the unthinkable. I left.  

Being bold  

I had always wanted to start my own business and realised that I was finally out of excuses to wait. So I just did it.  

I made a promise to myself that I would only work with and for people who bring the best out of me, so I could always offer my best in return. 

That’s something that remains true today. 

Thinking differently  

I founded Moxy Communications on the belief that dyslexic thinking can help find the creative solutions to today’s unprecedented communications challenges. 

I also want to show communications leaders that they don’t need to carry the weight of the world on their shoulders alone.   

That there is a better way.
